The menu caters to Greek and Modern Australian cuisine. Food is cooked daily on the premises and preferences are met as far as is practicable with staff working hard to ensure residents preferences are met.
Non-Greek residents will have their food preferences catered to as far as is practicable. The kitchen staff prepares a nutritious and varied menu in consultation with a qualified Dietitian. Our kitchen supervisor will attempt to ensure your food preferences are catered to as much as possible. Hostel Carers and Nursing Home staff will convey your food likes and dislikes to the kitchen so that we can provide you with a pleasing and nutritious diet.
On admission a diet preference form is completed by the staff and forwarded to the kitchen. The kitchen supervisor will also discuss food preferences with new residents. The dietitian undertakes review of the Menu regularly and will meet with residents at this time to discuss their views on the Menu. In addition the kitchen supervisor is made aware of resident preferences through Resident Committee Meeting.
The daily menu is posted in Greek and English in each dining room. Staff will assist you with advising what is on the menu if you wish.
Special diets/food allergies will be managed by catering staff in consultation with our doctor and dietitian
